Neptune to the Personals

The TRANSIT of Neptune across the personal planets and through the houses of the horoscope can be one of the most discombobulating energetic interactions that we, as individuals, can experience. In all cases, the most specific analysis can only be obtained by examining the entire natal energetic grid, as demonstrated by the birth chart. The manifestation of Neptunian energy within the psyche depends entirely on the individual in question. But, as is evident by the myriad of astrological ‘cookbooks’ available, astrologers cannot resist the attempt to make suggestions as to the general nature of how energy might demonstrate itself. So, though I struggle with this process of general analysis, neither can I resist it. LOL.

The level of consciousness of any given individual is the first element that must be considered in this proposed analysis. A person who is operating on the level of spiritual awareness will translate the action of Neptunian energy very differently from one who is operating on the level of materiality. Neptune asks us to look to the deeper and often mysterious side of the life journey, and if we choose not to engage with this side of the experiential process, then entering head-on into a Neptunian phase will be somewhat more challenging than if we are attuned to a spiritual outlook. Let me add, that neither alignment is better or worse. Each individual is on a unique journey into evolutionary growth. This process is of indeterminate duration as it depends on the willingness of said individual to engage with it. For instance, an individual who might entertain a spiritual outlook may move through a period of Neptunian disillusionment and doubt and ‘fall back’ in terms of spiritual growth. This could be the result of the interplay between the so-called soul force and the so-called ego force within that individual. There are no rules. However, once an individual is set on a spiritually oriented path, the chances are that he will respond to the ’dark night of the soul’ process as demonstrated by certain Neptunian transits with proactive energy and let go of whatever element is confining him to limited thinking. As I have reiterated time and again, we, the individuals, are the variable in this equation called life. Our free will is the foundation of all the choices that we ultimately make. This is why predicting any particular outcome is problematic on every level.

Neptune enters into the consciousness like a mist or fog that fills up the senses so that one loses a sense of place. This can be, ultimately, a freeing experience that allows the individual to set a fresh course. On the other hand, it can create a feeling of dislocation, confusion, and even, in some cases abject terror. For those treading the waters of materiality, the entire experience can be difficult to bear but, if one practices spiritual methods of detachment, (whatever might work for each person), then this transit can be managed…somewhat. What I have found when working with those who are embracing a more spiritual protocol, is that even in these cases, much effort must be exerted to fully benefit from this nebulous and discombobulating energetic interaction.

Neptune entered Aries back in late March, 2025, but will retrograde back into Pisces in October,  2025, not returning to Aries until January, 2026. However, even with this short period when Neptune breaks into Aries, the energy begins to alter. After 14 years of complete chaos and/or, sublimation, (again, depending on where you are in terms of consciousness), something new wants to be born. Aries initiates on all levels. This is the energy of everything that is new and unknown. The soul will, in all cases, long for a fresh start, for something different and as yet unexplored. At the highest vibrational level, this is a time when FAITH, however it manifests in your own consciousness, could possibly be rebooted, re-invented, recharged to shine once again. If you have been struggling on this level, you may well be heading into a crash course in terms of BELIEF. Though this process can be challenging, it can also be revitalizing. Neptune calls you to explore the more mysterious side of life. This is the energy of spiritual process when applied proactively so don’t worry or fear. Just GO WITH IT.

Anyone with personals in Aries is going to get the maximum benefit from this incoming energy.

Neptune will remain in the first decanate of Aries (1*- 10*), until about 2030. Anyone with planets from 1*-10* Aries is going to receive the first waves of Neptune. Birthday dates of March 21-March 30.

Then, from about 2030-2034 (ish), Neptune will transit Aries 10-Aries 20. Birthday dates of April 1-April 10.

Finally, Neptune will swoosh through Aries 20-Aries 30 from 2034-2039. Birthday dates of April 11-April 20.

These dates are approximate due to the retrograde motion that is in play. For a specific time-period for you, if you happen to have personals in Aries, use an ephemeris to track the motion.

When Neptune interacts with the solar force, the SUN, the call to action, spiritually, is to let go of your programming. You are being asked to raise your energy and to cultivate a spiritual approach. What ideas and ambitions need to be dissolved, reworked, put to rest? Are you headed in the direction that best reflects who you want to be? You may experience doubts about your goals, regret about your choices, and even a whole reinvention in terms of what is most important to you. Identity can often seem to slip away leaving behind a big empty chasm filled with mist and fog. Develop trust and hang on to your faith that things will eventually clear up and you will feel more stable. I have often heard folks say, “I feel like I’m losing myself…I don’t know who I am supposed to be!” as Neptune plays around with the centralizing energy of the Sun.

The Moon represents our emotional center, and having Neptune ooze into that area of the psyche can be the most discombobulating of interactions. Prepare to bide your time and ride the wave, so to speak. You may question relationships and even your own sense of commitment. You may feel off balance, (the Moon regulates our organic selves) so grounding exercises can be very helpful. Touch the earth. Breath deeply. Hug a tree. That kind of stuff. For sure, for those who are attempting to ‘spiritualize’, this is the transit to beat all transits—even the Pluto ones. Once fully incorporated into the self, the experiences that can be had during a Neptune to the Moon transit could lead to real spiritual understanding so that one could step into a mentorship role once the waters have receded and the shore is visible once again.

Neptune to Mercury is a mental house-cleaning. It could be experienced as a mental ‘breakdown’, but with forewarning that one is entering into a period of self-doubt and potential mental confusion, measures can be put into place to somewhat deal with the lack of clarity.

Neptune to Venus can be a re-boot of personal values. It may begin with a loss and then result in a restructuring of what is truly important. On a material level, one may have some kind of experience that involves resources or income streams which ultimately leads one to have a more enlightened relationship with money and resources. A literal example of this could be that one loses income or investments but then discovers better and more authentic ways to get money and resources. The front end of this experience is unpleasant, but if one works through it, one could end up with more stability and self-reliance. That is positive. At the highest of levels, this transit allows one to dissolve restrictions and connect to a higher vibrational heart space. You become what you love. If you don’t believe me, observe dog owners who are truly in love with their dogs. Notice the facial similarities?

The last transit I will touch on is Neptune to Mars. Again, if not anticipated, this interaction could feel debilitating and enervating, both physically and spiritually. On the densest of vibrational levels, one could become unwell and be forced to purge one’s organism, to reset oneself physically. Or one could experience a loss of power, initiative, and drive. In all cases, the key is to examine why things appear to be out of kilter. Are you doing what you know is true, real, eithical? Are you treating your body with respect, like the temple that it is? All actions have inevitable consequences. Think about it. A literal example would be continuing to eat junk food even though it makes you feel sick, denying that the fast food is the cause of the unwellness, stubbornly clinging to the ‘high’ of immediate gratification that the junk food provides.

On the more spiritual side, this interaction could result in a sense of futility, helplessness or even depression. Again, look at the life construct and determine for yourself if your choices are made based on trust and faith or desire and greed. An open and clean heart is the goal and if you purge yourself of ego-driven consumption, you will discover a deeper seat of empowerment within yourself. Of course, first you have to weather the storm of the Neptune doubt and dissolvement.

Neptune is the most nebulous of the outer planets. While Uranus can come in with a bang and Pluto can explode you into a million little pieces, Neptune oozes and creeps into the soul like a thief in the night, and before you even know it, you are lost and confused in a landscape that is totally unfamiliar and yet looks exactly as it always has. In all cases, whether the denser vibrational physical reality of the body, time and space, or the etheric vibration of heart and soul, the key is consciousness. Ground into yourself, know what you believe, who you are, and what is important before you face the fog of Neptune, and you will get through perfectly well. I promise.
